Enrico Migliorini (ESR4) presents the AuDiET study at the 2022 EURO-CIU Symposium in Rotterdam

On the 11th of November, Enrico Migliorini (ESR 4) had the opportunity to present the AuDiET study, the centerpiece of his PhD research within MOSAICS, as invited guest speaker at the EURO-CIU Symposium in Rotterdam.

The conference was organized by CI users and targeted at CI users, covering a wide range of topics from the monetary cost-to-benefit ratio of CIs, rehabilitation practices, to the future of CI advocacy. It presented an excellent venue for Enrico to present his work to a different audience than the one usually found at scientific conferences: those attending the EURO-CIU Symposium had a personal stake in the improvements which AuDiET might bring. His presentation was a reminder of how the work of ESRs can be impactful on a personal level, and how much CI users rely on researchers to deliver innovation that can provide concrete health benefits. It was a deeply motivating experience to connect with people who may be impacted by the results of MOSAICS. To know more about Enrico’s take-aways and impressions from the event, read his contribution ‘EURO-CIU Symposium – The AuDiET study as a step towards personalized care‘ in the EURO-CIU December 2022 Newsletter.
